What started as a humble Facebook group called the Internation Blind Café has now evolved into something so much more.

Created in May 2022 by Jason Reynolds, the Universal Blind Café (or UBC) boasts a thriving B/VI community of over 2,000 members across the world.

With members from all six inhabited continents, the UBC is an open and inviting space for people of all adult ages, backgrounds, lifestyles, livelihoods, beliefs, and cultures.

As long as you are blind or visually impaired, or directly know someone with a vision impairment, you have a seat at our table.

The drinks may cost, but the conversations are priceless.

The UBC has a wide array of activities to offer its members.

We hold various events, game nights, volunteer-led Braille study groups, and more in our Discord server.

Our Discord features an active voice chat community, with open rooms that function like having a seat at a digital bar.

This is not a dating-centric environment. We're here to have a good time, while still respecting everyone's space.

Our Game Events include various word games, our own take on Name That Tune (Hey, I Know That Song), and our staple Saturday Night Trivia!

We also host weekly audio-described showings of horror movies (Friday Night Frights) and classic blockbusters (Tuesday Matinee).

Book lovers can participate in our Monthly Reading Circle, sports nerds can catch occasional streaming of blind and other sporting events, and those with a spiritual background can find friends in faith through our Sunday Devotional.
